Dogs...but don't tell them that

Meet Sassy and Dot. I got Sassy 10 years ago when I was a Freshman in college (eh!). And Sassy is the mother of Dot who is now 4 years old. These girls think they are human and there is nothing you can do to convince them otherwise. They really are the best dogs you could have around. They are completely obsessed with their parents and they would never do anything to disappoint us. They stay next to us while walk down the block with no leash. We can leave them home alone all weekend with only food, water and a doggy door and then come back to a spotless house and happy dogs. Anytime they hear the shower or bath water they dive in as if it was turned on for them. They like to do everything we do and give us that look that makes us feel so guilty if they are left out for any reason. I could go on, but I think the pictures kinda give you a glimpse of the way these pampered pups live.

You can always count on spotless dishes and a tired dog after dinner at our house.

And the Ginger thing...
As I was trying to think of a title I was suffering from my sunburned back I got this past weekend on a rainy, overcast day at the lake with 50 proof Bullfrog sunscreen. Neither of us really even have red hair, but us freckly, pale skinned, sunburn only people are still called Gingers. At least that is what many friends like to tease us about. We can't deny it and don't want to. Our kids will have beautiful red hair which I will envy (but you will have to wait a while to see that). Between the two of us we have red headed moms, dad, sister, aunts and cousins. So we will call ourselves The Gingers...
